GOP Congressional Candidate: Middle East 'Turmoil' Result Of 'Girly Men' In White House

After explaining to his audience that putting Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in the White House would result in 'real mean' engaging in foreign policy, a Republican congressional candidate suggested the current wave of turmoil in the Middle East happened because 'girly men' currently occupy the White House.

North Carolina State Sen. David Rouzer, the GOP nominee to challenge eight-term Democratic incumbent Rep. Mike McIntyre for the state's 7th congressional district, made the statement during a Sunday speech before the Tea Party Express in Wilmington, N.C.

Rouzer told the audience that if we elected Romney/Ryan, 'you are going to see a big change, you're going to see number one that America is going to be respected again around the world.'

He then added that with that ticket in the White House, the anti-American forces abroad might stop the 'turmoil' and think to themselves 'maybe we need to cut it out a little bit, maybe we need to tone it down a little bit, because we have real men in the White House.'

That prompted an audience member to shout, 'No girly men!'

'That's right, no girly men,' Rouzer said approvingly.

Recent polls show incumbent McIntyre leading, but by a small margin of only a few percentage points.
