GOP Senate Candidate Thompson's Son: We 'Have The Opportunity' To Send Obama Back To Kenya

At a Republican brunch event this morning, with RNC chairman Reince Priebus in attendance, the son of Wisconsin GOP Senate candidate Tommy Thompson told the audience that 'we have the opportunity to send President Obama back to Chicago' or Kenya.'

After Jason Thompson made the remark, a woman in the audience quipped: 'We are taking donations for that Kenya trip.'

Thompson's campaign has addressed the comment via a statement to BuzzFeed:

'The Governor has addressed this with his son, just like any father would do. Jason Thompson said something he should not have, and he apologizes.'

The spokesperson noted that the former Governor of Wisconsin Thompson himself was not in attendance at the brunch.
