The Daily Beast reports that the conservative commentator resigned after a long-winded 'meeting to decide his fate.' D'Souza's departure comes just days after outlets reported that he'd shared a hotel room in September with a younger woman, to whom he referred as his fiancée while married to Dixie Brubaker, his wife of twenty years:
It was not immediately clear whether the exit was driven by the allegations of the affair, or by dissatisfaction with D'Souza's leadership that had been building at the college for months. Representatives for King's did not respond to repeated requests for comment.
D'Souza has long been an outspoken conservative supporter of 'traditional values' and most recently wrote and directed the second-highest grossing political documentary of all time, the anti-Obama 2016: Obama's America.
