Erica Hill Jumping To NBC To Co-Host Weekend Edition Of Today

Erica Hill, who was replaced as the host of CBS This Morning in July, is hopping over to NBC to co-host the weekend edition of Today, according to Brian Stelter of The New York Times.

The announcement is expected 'soon,' the report said. Currently, the NBC show is hosted by Lester Holt on Saturday and Sunday, with Jenna Wolfe co-hosting on Sunday.

Norah O'Donnell replaced Hill on CBS This Morning back in July. 'CBS tried to find a new role for Ms. Hill at the network,' Stelter writes, 'but expected that she might look elsewhere.'

• I like Norah ODonnell but I do think Erica kinda got screwed. I think Erica is great too so I am glad she found a new home elsewhere. Personally, I would rather see her back on CNN, but that may have been a demotion for her.

• Even though NBC is stumbling in the ratings lately, being on Weekend Today is still a WAY better platform than anything on CNN.
