Shooting At Family Research Council Office Leaves Security Guard Wounded

ABC's Washington, D.C., affiliate WJLA reports that a security guard at the conservative Christian lobbying group Family Research Council's office building was shot and injured late Wednesday morning.

The shooting reportedly took place near or at the FRC offices, which are located in the busy downtown D.C. area of Chinatown.

According to the reports, the guard was shot in the arm but was conscious and breathing after the incident. A suspect is reportedly in custody and was led out of the building.

In a statement posted on the FRC's website, the organization's President Tony Perkins wrote:
'The police are investigating this incident. Our first concern is with our colleague who was shot today. Our concern is for him and his family.'

• From what we know, the security guard is going to be fine' so I don't feel bad about making this point' This is what happens when lefty groups spend hours and hours and millions of dollars on TV, on the internet, and in newspapers saying that the right wants to kill old people or that Mitt Romney causes cancer.  Left-wing groups call the Family Research Center a 'hate group' and not even a day ago there was an article from none other than Dan Rather with the title 'Paul Ryan Speaking at Hate Group's Annual Conference.'  What is hateful about them supporting family values?  Just because someone disagrees with you, doesn't mean they hate you.  The obama campaign and the democrats have taken the level of vitriol and disgusting tactics to a new level, and this is what it has brought us.
