NBC got a bit mixed up during its Olympics coverage of the the U.S.A.-Spain gold medal basketball game. Upon seeing actor Jesse Eisenberg in the audience, a broadcaster mixed him up with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg'whom Eisenberg portrayed in The Social Network.
When the shot cut to Eisenberg, the broadcaster made a comment about putting a picture on Facebook, going on to remark that 'every executive of note, it seems, worldwide' has been attending the Games. Whoops.
Take a look at the confusion below:
(H/T Deadspin)
-
Who is Jesse Eisenberg?
Who is Mark Zuckerberg ? -
'And sitting next to Mark Zuckerberg is his wife Priscilla Chan. Funny, she doesn't look Chinese..

Although it is great that the USA is top pf the Olympics medal table. NBC must never be allowed to cover any sporting events of note ever again. They are truly useless, hopeless and dull. They did not even know who Evander Holyfield was and they gave more time to ads than actual coverage.
-
They have the contract until 2020 I believe. :(

Shouldn't this headline say, 'Announcer Confuses''. It's not like the whole NBC network is responsible for this one line. It's not a company wide policy decree to screw this up.
