House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi predicted on ABC's This Week today that the Democrats will retake the House of Representatives in November after two years of being in the minority. George Stephanopoulos recounted to Pelosi the claims of Speaker John Boehner that if the election is about the economy, the advantage goes to the Republicans. Pelosi was quick to contrast Obama's economic record with what she perceives to be stonewalling on the part of Congressional Republicans.

Stephanopoulos asked what Pelosi thought would happen if the election were held today. Pelosi said the Democrats would likely retake the House of Representatives, though it probably would end up in an almost-even split between the two parties.

1. What else are they gonna say when the reporter asks that very dumb questions, because everyone always knows the answer
2. If any of them ever became realists and said that theirs a chance they, or their party, might lose then they would be treated by the media and pundits as if they had just confessed to having a coke filled orgy on their to the studio
In short, people who are promoting an ideological positions, specially politicians, can't be trusted because their goal is to get elected, of course they will pander, and of course they will distort reality to suit their particular needs because they know that people as a whole are too lazy to go and research facts for themselves
