Kate Beckinsale Asks Republicans To Get In Her Vagina For Funny Or Die

As the War on Women (which may or may not exist) continues (or doesn't), a video from Funny or Die's political wing Live Funny or Die attempts to encapsulate a seeming hypocrisy in Republican views on women's health and reproductive rights. In the sketch, Kate Beckinsale, Judy Greer, and Andrea Savage play proud Republican women helpfully explaining that they don't want the government to interfere with their business or schools. However, they would really love for the government to shove its laws deep into their hoohaws.

The video, which was written and directed by Savage, is framed as a PSA from the fictional group, The Real Republican Real Women of Real America. The actresses speak to the camera and cheerfully list all of those recent 'War on Women'-type laws that Democrats love to call attention and Republicans love to stand in front of while shouting 'Hey! Look behind you! There's an evil poor person riot!' They also make a whole bunch of vagina jokes including the implication that voting for Mitt Romney would be akin to letting 'someone like your dad in your vagina.'

That's not exactly a pull-quote I expect the Romney campaign to use. However, if the candidate ever finds himself single, it might be a good pick up line to use at a bar that caters to women with lots of emotional baggage.

Anyway, the videos pretty funny (or horrible, liberal demagoguery depending on your point of view). Archer fans will always enjoy a chance to see Judy Greer say dirty things and we rarely get a chance to see Kate Beckinsale tackle straight comedy. Not counting Tiptoes.

  • Too bad its more insulting than funny.  Bad policy or not, they are representing the women as morons instead of just attacking the policy.  I'm surprised they didn't have a Palin-like character showing her 5yr old daughter how to handle a 12-gauge.

  • Almost too real for satire.

  • I get you but you don't seem to get them.

Women who support these policies are bigger morons than the birthers.

  • I laughed so hard, I think I just pulled something.  If republicans can't see the truth in this parody then they don't understand why we say they have a war on women.
