Rick Santorum apparently has a problem with higher education: the one-time presidential hopeful said America's colleges are 'indoctrinating' young people by promoting a 'sea of antagonism toward Christianity.' Abortion, gay marriage and pornography, Santorum said, are all 'symptoms to the fundamental issue that we've gotten away from the truth and the 'Truth-Giver.''
Speaking about the 40th anniversary of the landmark decision in Roe v. Wade, Santorum told radio host Tony Perkins he agreed with the idea that pro-choice Americans are part of a troubled nation.
'If you look at the popular culture and what comes out of Hollywood, if you go to our schools and particularly our colleges and universities, they are indoctrinated in a sea of relativism and a sea of antagonism towards Christianity,' he added.
Santorum has long been opposed to gay marriage and abortion and even, in fact, college. Last February he called President Obama a 'snob' for wanting everyone in America to go to college. He claimed 'liberal college professors' all try to 'indoctrinate' their students.
'I understand why he wants you to go to college,' Santorum said. 'He wants to remake you in his image.'
