As Stephen Colbert explained on last night's Colbert Report, he's 'not happy' with 'Obama's failed second term.' 'It doesn't start for two weeks, and it's a disaster. The point is, I gave it a chance.'
Colbert pointed to the departure of Obama's top cabinet members as evidence of trouble in the White House. 'But the thing that really disturbs me and my fellow pundits with airtime to fill is who Obama has picked to replace them.' He then cut to a montage of commentators from Fox News and MSNBC lamenting the lack of diversity in the remaining members of Obama's inner circle. 'Those four white guys are right!'
And Colbert found one more conservative pundit who thinks there are too many white men in the White House: Mike Huckabee. He played the recent clip from Huckabee's radio show in which the former Governor asked, 'How come there is so much testosterone in the Obama cabinet and so little estrogen?' Colbert responded, 'Yes. Huckabee and Hucka-me are outraged on behalf of you estrogen-soaked females.'
In the end, Colbert admitted that President Obama does still have one prominent African-American woman in the White House: First Lady Michelle Obama. 'But who knows how long she's staying? The way things are going, she's going to leave and the president will replace her with Larry Summers.'
