Clinton is said to have been battling a stomach virus she had last week, the dehydration from which may have led to the fall. NBC news first reported the story on Twitter and NBC Nightly News also received a confirmation from the State Department, where they said: 'While suffering from a stomach virus, Secretary Clinton became dehydrated and fainted, sustaining a concussion.'
The Associated Press reports that aide Philippe Reines said Clinton will likely work from home next week, at the recommendation of doctors. Congressional aides, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said they do not expect Clinton to testify as scheduled for the Benghazi hearings set for this Thursday.
