Fox & Friends' Dave Briggs Announces He's Leaving The Show: 'It's Been The Best Show, Best Job Of My Life'

In an emotional announcement, Fox & Friends co-host Dave Briggs told viewers Saturday that he was leaving the show at the end of the year. Although Briggs did not elaborate on his future plans, he did say he was 'not going away,' an indication that he may be staying with Fox News.

Co-host Clayton Morris revealed the news of Briggs' departure, to which Briggs seemed taken aback, saying, 'I didn't expect you to say that.' He quickly composed himself and said, 'I will be moving on.' He told co-hosts Morris and Alisyn Camerota:

'I will miss the two of you more than I can speak. You've made me better and you've made this show better. You've been my work family.'

He went on complimenting the show and suggested he wouldn't be going far, saying,

'It's been the best show, best job of my life. I will never a job I enjoy more no matter where I go. But you will see me, I'm not going away, I'm just going somewhere else.'

Rick Reichmuth echoed this notion after Briggs thanked several more Fox colleagues, saying, 'The good part is, you're not moving anywhere.'

Briggs later Tweeted the news as well, telling followers, 'I will miss our viewers almost as much as Clayton, Aly & Rick. I really appreciate every one of you and hope you stick w/me in 2013''

Later in the show, Camerota suggested Briggs would be moving to another show with a female co-anchor, and presented him with pink socks in case his new colleague wanted to 'match' his outfits. She also gave him a caricature of the three hosts standing together.
